Fred Cox[1]
Marriage to Elizabeth Alsop on 15 Aug 1878 in Napton-On-The-Hill, Warwickshire, England[2]. Elizabeth was a spinster age 23 and resident of Napton. Frederick was a bachelor, age 23, a bricklayer and resident of Napton. Elizabeth's father named as John Alsop, a labourer. Frederick's father named as John George Cox, a bricklayer. Witnesses were F Garry Cox and M Goode Note I'm not convinced that Frederick Cox is married to the correct Elizabeth here .... Elizabeth's father had been a lockkeeper, not a labourer. Also, all subsequent censuses have Elizabeth's birth place as Napton, not Grandborough. This could simply be laziness on the part of the enumerator or Elizabeth preferred to say she was born in Napton as her parents obviously brought her back to be baptised, or it's the wrong Elizabeth
