<Will of Thomas E Cox dated July 1 1914. Dallas County, state of Missouri "I, Thomas E Cox of the county of Dallas and state of Missouri, age 85 years, being of sound mind do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows. I request that funeral be conducted in a manner suitable to my means. And I direct that my funeral charges and expenses of settle of my estate be paid out of my personal estate. First, I give and bequeath to my daughter Manerva (sic) Mallard one dollar and to my son Thomas Cox one dollar and I give and bequeath to my son Sam P Cox one dollar and I give and bequeath to the three children of my deceased daughter Martha Holliday to wit - Lester - Icey and Harmon one dollar each. And I give and bequeath to my daughter Zona Evans the sum of one dollar and I give and bequeath to my son J R Cox $250.00 and all the rest residue and remainder of my estate real and personal. I give and bequeath to my above named children or their heirs to be divided equally between them. I hereby appoint my son JR Cox executor of this my last will and testament and authorize and empower him to take charge and settle my estate according to the provinces herein.
