This is the little bit of subjective information I have on Daniel Cox based on records of his children/grandchildren:

born c 1769 +/- 10 years in New Jersey-based on the following:

2 of his known children listed their father was born in New Jersey on the 1880 census. (Mary and Alexander). Mary gives her own birth c1796 as NJ. Daniel's date of birth is the best guess- could be from 1760-1776.

Residence: 1796 New Jersey- based on daughter, Mary (Polly) Cox Fox consistently provides her birthplace as New Jersey.

Residence: 1803 in Casey County, Kentucky based on the stated birth place of Alexander Cox in the 1850 census. ^[1]

Residence: 1805 Kentucky as Jenny Cox Fox consistently provides her birthplace as Kentucky^[2]

Residence 1819 Alabama Mary Cox and William Fox's son, Johnson Fox is born in Alabama c1819. They were possibly in AL as early as 1811; Joseph Cox alternately born AL/KY. (only a possibility based on this data).

Residence 1828 Gibson County, Tennessee Jenny Cox Hall married Allen Fox in Gibson County and in 1831 Alex Cox m. Elizabeth Fox in Gibson Co. (Daniel didn't have to live in the county, State where his daughter married, but other children are also here.
