Sarah (Crabtree) Deckard was born in Tennessee.
Sarah (Crabtree) Deckard was a Kentuckian.

Sarah "Sally" Crabtree was born in Tennessee around 1805.[1] Her father was Samuel Crabtree Sr, and her mother Sarah Markham.

She married John Hangles Deckard around 1822 in Tennessee.[2]

In 1825, their first daughter Elizabeth was born, daughter Darcus Ann in 1828, Lucinda Joanna in 1829, and Hiram Harlin in 1930.[1] She lived in Jackson County, Tennessee.[3]

Her family continued to grow with Margaret born in 1831, George Washington in 1832, William Bean in 1835, James Harvery in 1837, and Sarah Ann in 1839.[1] The family continued to live in Jackson County, Tennessee.[4]

Her daughter Martha was born in 1841, John in 1846, and Calvin Wade in 1850.[1] She still lived in Jackson County, Tennessee on a farm.[5]

Sometime before 1860, Sally relocated with her family to Monroe County, Kentucky near the Tompkinsville post office. Most of the children have left home and started their own families, but George, Martha and Calvin are still single and living at home. [6]

Sally died on October 25, 1864 in Gamaliel, Monroe County, Kentuckty. She was buried at Gamaliel Cemetery in Gamaliel, Monroe County, Kentucky.[7]
