Eleazer Crafts was an officer during the Revolutionary War, serving as a Major in Col. James Collins's 6th Essex County regiment, commissioned April 24, 1777, and as Major in Col. Samuel Johnson's regiment, and as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Essex County Militia. [1] [2]

Eleazer Crafts was born on July 31, 1743 in Ipswich, Essex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, son of Benjamin Craft (1706–1746) and Margaret Choate (~1709–1767). [3] [4]

He married Elizabeth Sample, Jan. 6, 1767, in Manchester, Massachusetts. [5]

Eleazer died on September 20, 1793, aged 50. [5]

He was buried in Old Burial Ground, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Essex County, Massachusetts. [6]
