Alvaradah William Craig was born on 4 May 1858 at Boscobel, Grant Co., Wisconsin, USA.[1][2] He appeared on the census of 6 June 1860 in the household of his parents, Henry William Craig and Esther (Langford) Craig, at Boscobel, Grant Co., Wisconsin.[3] He appeared on the census of 14 July 1870 in the household of his mother at Boscobel, Grant Co., Wisconsin.[4] He was a farmer when he appeared on the census of 23 June 1880 in the household of his mother at Clay, Shelby County, Iowa.[5]
He married Beckie LaVern Austine circa 1885 at Iowa.[1][2]
He married Catherine Emily Brown on 30 Sep. 1890.[1]
He was a farmer when he and Catherine appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 at Logan Township, Burt County, Nebraska.[6] He was a farmer when he and Catherine appeared on the census of 20 April 1910 at Kit Carson County, Colorado. [7]
He and Elizabeth appeared on the census of 23 Feb. 1920 at Logan Township, Burt County, Nebraska.[8]
Alvardo died on 3 July 1922 at Lyons, Burt Co., Nebraska, at age 64[1] and was buried at Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Burt County, Nebraska. His memorial has some biographical material and links to those of family members.[9]

Alvardo Craig Laid to Rest
Alvardo Craig was born in Wisconsin May 4, 1858, and died at his home near Lyons, Nebr., July 3, 1922, aged 64 years, 1 month and 29 days. He spent his boyhood in Wisconsin, coming to Iowa when about 18 years of age. He first marriage occurred in Iowa, the wife and one child dying there. On September 30, 1890, he was married to Miss Katherin Emily Brown of Ohio. To them were born four children, Mrs. Celestia Andre of Flagler , Colo., Zell, who death occurred in the most unfortunate accident of May 11, 1911, when the mother was killed also; Lenn of Lyons, Nebr., and Mrs. Ilene Fry of Lyons.
March 23, 1915, he was married to Mrs. Elizabeth White of Sioux City, Ia. They have two adopted daughters, Alice and Alma.
Mr. Craig leaves also one brother, John Craig of Omaha, and one sister, Mrs. Mary S. Lomas of Flagler, Colo. Also seven grandchildren.
Mr. Craig spent his entire life in agricultural pursuits. About eight years he lived near Pender and twenty-five years on the place where he passed away. He has been suffering from heart disease, and ten days ago became overheated through excessive exercise in the hot sun with the result that the end came swiftly.
For many years he has been a member of the local Masonic fraternity and his brethren were gathered to give expression to the high esteem in which he was held.
In the beginning of the harvest we are compelled to stop and recognize a harvest which last throughout the year. A husband, father and friends cut down by the grim reaper. And thus the fruits of this life come to the end of their development.
The funeral service was had from the Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in charge of Rev. J. H. Salsbury, D.D. pastor of the church. The local Masonic lodge had charge of the interment at the cemetery.
