Biography

James was born about 1680. James Craig was described as James Craig of Costarton and Dalnair. James was a Writer to the Signet.

CRAIG, JAMES, of Dalnair and Costerton. 13th May 1707. Apprentice to William Forrester. — Died 5 th August 1743. Mar. February 1708, Magdalen, daughter of Alexander Chaplane of Colliston, Forfarshire, W.S. [1]

James had four known children, Hew, Ann, Eleanore and Isabel Craig.
