Biography

Martha Craig was born in Antrim, Ireland to Robert Craig (a carpenter) and Margaret Mark.

She married Thomas Eccles, flax dresser in Belfast.

They emigrated to New Zealand on the "Auckland" in 1875.

They had a large family of nine children, three of whom were born in Ireland and she died in Oamaru, New Zealand in 1897

Martha was born in 1847. She passed away in 1897 of pneumonia.

Made an edit to the marriage data, please note that Northern Ireland did not exist until partition 1921-22 so I deleted this word from marriage location.
