marr. 25th April 1776, Jean (died at Elgin, 27th Dec. 1847, aged 91), eldest daugh. of Archibald Craig, merchant, Elgin, and had issue Christian, born 15th March 1777; Margaret, born 31st Jan. 1779 (marr. William Gordon, min. of Urquhart, (Elgin)); Jean Dunbar, born 6th March 1781; Alexander, born 25th Feb. 1782, died on board the Hercules, West Indies, Sept. 1803; Marjory, born 16th April 1784 (marr. 22nd Dec. 1805, Alexander Johnston, manufacturer, Newmill), died 5th May 1807; Archibald, surgeon H.E.I.C.S., born 10th June 1785, killed in action 1817; Janet, born 7th Dec. 1790; Anne, born 20th Aug. 1793.
