Biography

George Lillie Craik was born 9 Mar 1837 and baptised 13 Nov 1837 Scone, Perth, Scotland the son of James Craik and Margaret Grieve^[1]

George Lillie Craik, nephew of George Lillie Craik the renowned author, was a partner with Alexander Macmillan in the publishers Macmillan & Company and this may be the reason a group of Craik’s were staying with Dinah in 1861 ^[2]

In 1851 the family lived at 15 Sandyford Place Glasgow
