Biography

Larkin Crain settled in Fulkerson, Scott, Virginia and raised a large family with his wife, Amanda.

In 1850, Larkin's mother-in-law and brother-in-law lived in the household. By 1860, James Eaken had moved out on his own. Larkin and Amanda had 16 children. He outlived many of them before his death about 1890.

Larkin served the Confederacy in the Sixth Battalion; Sixth Battalion, Reserves (Thirteenth Battalion, Reserves; Smith's Battalion, Reserves.
