Biography
Mike is the son of Frank W. and Barbara (Hamel) Crain. His youth was quite active. He was an Eagle Scout, a 1952 graduate of Greenwood Laboratory School and following service in the army graduated from Southwest Missouri State in 1958 where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
He and brother, Frank G. (Bert) owned and operated Native Wood Products in Ozark for many years. The company was founded by their father Frank W. Crain in 1950.
Mike married Bonnie and they had 2 children; Doug and Michele. He was as active in adulthood as he was in his youth. He was a volunteer fire department, city council alderman, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, Chamber of Commerce president, and the Booster Club president.
Mike is buried at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
