Jim was first and foremost a musician. He played guitar and, because he was electronically inclined, was quick to record a rock album. His most popular song was the "Shig-A-Shag" released in 1957.
Unfortunately, making a living in the music industry is difficult so he had to have a "real job" to raise a family. Because his family had always become a part of the community they lived in, Jim decided to become a police officer in Springfield, OH.
