Stephen Cram was born September 21, 1790, in Deerfield. Rockingham county, New Hampshire, son of Joseph Cram and Deborah (Batchelder) Cram. He was a farmer, and a tailor by trade, like his father before him. He was selectman of Deerfield two years, justice of the peace and deputy to the general court in 1836-37. [1]
On January 13, 1811, Stephen married Judith Robinson, daughter of Lieutenant Thomas Robinson (transcribed as Roberson from her marriage certificate) [2]
All of the children of Stephen and Judith were born on the farm in Deerfield, that was later owned by Simon Palmer:
Joseph Cram, born March 21, 1811, was a schoolteacher, married Ann D. Blanchard, of Lyndeboro, and resided in Vineland, New Jersey
Manorman Cram, (twin) born February 3, 1814, married 1) Ruth Merrill and 2) Amanda M. Marshall
Matilda Cram (twin) born February 3, 1814, married Anson E. Perrin, on June 6, 1837
Judith Harvey Cram, born May 3, 1817, married Charles F. Smith, on September 19, 1844
Deborah Batchelder Cram, born October 4, 1819, married John J. Littlefield, on January 1, 1843
Mary Jane Cram, born December 4, 1823, married Iphedeiah Ring, on November 25, 1841
Adeline Cram, born September 20, 1827, marrid Reuben H. Fitts, on March 13, 1868
Alfred Jackson Cram, born April 1, 1829, died May 28, 1894, married Mary Ann French, on January 28, 1858
Emeline Cram, born June 1, 1830, died September 22, 1856
Dr. Charles Warren Cram, born December 31, 1833, married Clara Deming, in 1867
Stephen and Judith are buried in the Cram Cemetery, in Deerfield, Rockingham county, New Hampshire. [3]
