Biography

Served under Cromwell, Sheriff of Dublin, 1653.

He married Maria or Mary Stearne in 1640.^[1] They had:^[2]

1. Balthazar, who married firstly who married firstly Sarah Jones, and secondly Elizabeth, the widow of Hugh Drysdale
2. Tobias, he married a Catherine and died leaving children in 1690,^[3][4] she remarried to Brigadier James Wynne^[5][6]
3. Hester, who married Sir John Coghill
4. Deborah, who married Arthur Webb.

He also had two other daughters not mentioned in Burke's Landed Gentry:^[7]

1. Mary, who married Edward Lucas in 1660
2. Ann, who married Francis Brewster in 1660 and died in 1679.

His will of 15th March 1683/4 was proved on 18th April 1684, this names:^[8]
