Josiah (Cramer) Coghill 3rd Bt was born in Ireland.

Biography

Josiah was born in 1773, son of John Cramer and Mary Hort, dau of Most Rev Josiah Hort D.D. archbishop of Tuam. The father John Cramer created a baronet on 31 Aug 1778. John assumed the name of Coghill in 1789. ^[1]

Josiah acquired the title 3rd Bart upon the death [21 May 1817] of his brother John Cramer Coghill, 2nd Bart.

Josiah married first on 1 Aug 1803 to Sophia Dodson, dau of John Dodson. Sophia died in 1817 in Normandy.

1. Caroline Mary born about 1804 died 1885 unmarried
2. Emmeline Katherine married in 1839 to Rev Charles Bushe jr
3. Josephine married in 1844 to George DeMorgan.

Josiah married 2nd on 27 Jan 1819 to Anna Maria Bushe, eldest daughter of the Rt Hon Charles Kendal Bushe, lord chief justice of the King's bench in Ireland.
