Biography

Joseph Crampton was born in 1686. His parents were John Crampton and Sarah Rockwell.

He married Patience Canfield on 29 Dec 1714 in Norwalk, Connecticut Colony.[1]

Together they had 3 girls:

  1. Mary Crampton[2]
  2. Sarah Crampton, b. 1717[3]
  3. un-named son Crapton, b. 11 Aug 1718, d. 12 Aug 1718[4]
  4. Abigail Crampton[5]

He died around September of 1720.

Inventory was done on 8 September 1720.[6][7]

On 13 Dec 1720,[7] it was decided that the widow was allowed to bring up the children until they were 7 years old.

On 17 Mar 1720/21,[7][8] the widow has remarried to Isaac Wood, who is appointed guardian of the three daughters.
