Biography

When Sarah Crampton Evarts was born on December 17, 1669, in Guilford, Connecticut, her father, Dennis Crampton-5 , was 39, and her mother, Sarah Hall-17399, was 25. She married John Evarts in 1700. They had one child during their marriage. She died on March 17, 1728, in her hometown at the age of 58, and was buried there.

Sarah's father is listed as the 2nd husband of Sarah HALL MUNGER

  • Inscription Although this person was likely interred in Guilford's original village cemetery (now the commons and public park in downtown Guilford), no surviving gravestone was known in 1818 when all gravestones at the Village Green, but not the people's remains, were dispersed to other town cemeteries.
  • Gravesite Details Time and weather had erased the location of this grave when the cemetery was moved.
