William Wright "Wright" Crandall, son of David Washington Crandall and Matilda Crandall, was born about 1838 in Rensselaer County, New York.[1] He was single and living in Grafton, Rensselaer County, New York when he registered for the US Civil War Draft in June 1863.[2] He appeared on the census of 29 June 1865 in the home of his parents at Grafton, Rensselaer County, New York.[3] He was a farmer when he appeared on the census of 15 June 1870 at Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York. His sister and mother were livng with him.[4] He appeared on the census of 2 June 1875 in the home of his sister at Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York.[5]
