James Crandall, son of James Crandall, Jr. and Sarah Clark, was born on 20 September 1763 in Westerly, Kings County, Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, British Colonial America.[1][2]
James married firstly Hannah Clarke, secondly Desire Thomas, thirdly Barbara Burdick. [3]
James wed Hannah Clarke on 20 November 1783 in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island. [4]. They had the following known children together:
Lydia Crandall (1787–1850);
James Crandall (1789–1867);
Fanny Crandall (1791–1862);
Theodoty James Crandall (1795–1884);
William Crandall (1797–1888);
Nathaniel C. Crandall (1798–1867);
Paul Crandall (1802–1887).
James Crandall died on 3 July 1845 at 81 years of age in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island. He was buried at Thier Crandall Ground,
