Elizabeth Crane was born on 25th July 1831 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. She was the second daughter of English emigrant, John Crane, a cobbler and leather worker, and his wife, Rebecca England.[1][2]
She married John Taylor in 1852 in St Anne's Church of England, Ryde, New South Wales.[3][4]
She passed away, aged 36 years, on 30th June 1867 at her home in Castle Hill.[5][6]
On the 30th June, at her residence, Castle Hill, ELIZABETH, the beloved wife of JOHN TAYLOR, second daughter of the late Mr. John Crane, of Castle Hill, aged 36 years. (Sydney Morning Herald, Saturday 6 July 1867, page 1)
There were at least two couples, John and Elizabeth Taylor, having families in New South Wales between 1852 and 1867. It will take time to gain certainty regarding whose children each is.
