Biography

VINTA, Okla. – Willard W. Crane, 53, former owner of Slim's Resort on Grand Lake, died at his home on Sunday in Bernice. He had been in failing health for some time.

He was born May 9, 1915, at Altamont, Kansas and was a member of the Baptist Church.

On April 11, 1937 in Oswego, Kansas he married Imogene Wiley.

Survivors are his wife, Imogene, of the home; four sons, Jim of Vinita, Leon of Cleora, Dean and Lyle both of Tulsa; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Cook, Narcissa; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Cleo and Kenneth, both of Swank, Colo.; and one sister, Mrs. Florence Feurt, Altamont.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Vinita with the Rev. Charles McBee officiating. Burial will be in McLaughlin Cemetery near Cleora under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
