The 1871 census lists Davis Crane as 11 years old living with his sisters Lydia (28, head of the household) and Elizabeth (20) in Preston, Lancashire, England. ^[4]

Davis Crane married Agnes Livesey in the July-September quarter 1880 at Preston, Lancashire.^[5][6]

His son Davis' baptism records shows Davis as a fitter and Agnes and Davis and their son Davis are living at 26 Elgin Street, Preston.^[5]
