Thomas Crane was the grandfather of Sir Walter Crane.^[1]

He and his wife Henrietta Swinchatte has 4 sons and 2 daughters.^[1]

In 1812 Thomas was Freeman of the City of Chester, working as a bookseller and editor of the Chester Courant.^[1]

Thomas died in 1836 in Bristol, Gloucestershire.^[1]
