Ellis was born in 1858. He passed away in 1932 and was buried in Kendaia Cemetery.
Seneca County Courier, February 27, 1880?
A wedding party from Kendaia, wended its way to the Presbyterian parsonage, on Wednesday afternoon last. Ellis Crane and Miss Aggie W. Gibson were soon joined in wedlock, Rev. J. W. Jacks officiating. James Gibson acted as groomsman, and Miss Jenette Crane as bridesmaid. The skies were propitious, and just as the ceremony was over the sun burst through the clouds and filled the room with its radiance. We would bespeak for the manly groom and modest bride a pleasant honeymoon, and a long, happy and eventful life.
