Biography
Henry was born at Ballarat, Victoria, Australia in 1869. He is the son of William Crane and Adelaide Dawson. [1]
He married Elsie Brittingham in Victoria in 1900. Henry said he was born at Ballarat, while Elsie gave her birthplace as Prahran.[2] [3]
They had 7 children.
He passed away at Brighton in 1921. [4]

- CRANE. —On the 12th May (suddenly), at his residence, Henry Alfred, dearly loved husband of Elsie, and devoted father of Keith, Claude, Jack, Howard, and Kenneth, aged 52 years.
- Sadly missed.

- CRANE.—The Friends of the late Mr. HENRY A. J. CRANE are most respectfully Invited to follow his remains to the place of interment in the Brighton Cemetery.
- The funeral will leave his residence No. 34 Rooding street, North Brighton, THIS DAY (Friday), at 3 pm.
