Elmer D. Cravens, 68, of Albion, died at 9:22 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 28, 1993, at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am., Wednesday, in the Nale Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery with full military rites performed. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday).
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
Mr. Cravens was born Nov. 10, 1925, in Friendsville, the son of Benjamin and Edith (Vaughn) Cravens. He married Eva Jean Bailey on Aug. 12, 1947, in Bellmont. She died Oct. 25, 1992.
Mr. Cravens was a barber and had his own shop in Albion for the past 10 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and also a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, and past commander of the American Legion. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Mr. Cravens is survived by four daughters, Mary Jackson of Fenton, Mo., Rebecca Forehand of Salem, Mrs. Robert (Damona) Nease of Claremont and Mrs. John (Kathryn) Head of Browns; three sisters, Jeanna Jenkins of Bellmont, Kathryn Pflaum of Noble and Juanita Puller of Stoy; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cravens was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Joe Cravens and a sister, Josephine Rose.
