Emeline is first found on the 1850 census for Lodi, New York. She was Emeline Prentiss (a.k.a. Prentice) in the household of Simeon Prentiss (born 1801) and with a daughter Catharine, age 2. [3] Emeline had a second daughter, Hannah, born about 1851.
In 1860, she was Mrs. Edward Dunn with their son Peter, born 1859, and Emeline’s two daughters. Edward and Emeline had two more children, Winfield, born about 1862, and Mary, born about 1864. [4][5][6]
Emeline Dunn died February 8, 1896 in Lodi, New York. She was buried on the 9th in West Lodi Cemetery, Lodi, Seneca County, New York. [7][8]
Mrs. Dunn, relict of the late Edward Dunn, is lying seriously ill at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Phineas Howell. Farmer Review, Farmer, Seneca Co., NY, Saturday, February 8, 1896.
Mrs. Dunn, whose illness was mentioned last week, was buried at West Lodi, on Sunday. – Farmer Review, Farmer, Seneca Co., NY, Saturday, February 15, 1896.
