Death: sometime after his 2nd marriage in Dec-1901

... cannot locate John in 1910, but all his children are in Lawrence Co., AL

... including his 7 year-old daughter who is living with her grandparents.

NOTES:

I am NOT convinced he is James M John Henry Crawford 1862-1947.

His birth year is much different than his 1900 census.

And why is 7 year-old daughter Vivian living with her grandparents?

Zilphia's marriage to John Crawford is assumed, based on:

1) Son William's SS record says parents John H Crawford & Zilphia E King

2) She is Lizzie Crawford on 1900 census, showing born Oct 1861

.... which is close to Zelphia's 1862 birth on her 1870 & 1880 census

3) She was Elizabeth on 1870 census, and Zilpha E on 1880 census

.... and Lizzie was a common nickname for Elizabeth
