JOHN CRAWFORD, 73, DIES IN OKLAHOM; EX-CAMBRIDGE MAN[1]

Cambridge - John W. Crawford, 73, of Freedom, Okl., a resident of the Cambridge area for most of his lifetime, died yesterday morning in a hosptial in Alva, Okla., after a short illness. death was attributed to a heart ailment.

Relatives here have been in formed that the body will be sent to Cambridge for funeral services and burial. Arangements will be announced later.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Crawford, he was born Oct 30, 1875 in Munson township. He married Minnie Heath Feb 23, 1898, and with the exception of eighter years spent in Dakota, the couple lived on frams in this vicinity.

After his wife died March 10, 1942, Mr. Crawford made his home with a niece, Ethel Swain, in Freedom, Okla. Survivor sinclude a brother, Jay Crawford, who now resides in California, and several nephews and neices.
