Research Notes
This birth record says "Joshua Crawford" is Benjamin Crawford's father, not Josiah. Could be a transcription error, but no image available on FamilySearch.org. Need to get a different source with image or hard copy to confirm:
"Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N3DX-HGP : 8 March 2018), Joshua Crawford in entry for Benjamin Crawford, 21 Jul 1925; Public Board of Health, Archives, Springfield; FHL microfilm 1,503,939. FindAGrave lists the following children, only two connected here:
Samuel Crawford 1840–1845
Benjamin Crawford 1842–1925 (linked, but with question re: father's name above)
James Crawford 1844–1845
Lucinda Crawford 1848–1849
Almira Crawford 1849–1850
Minerva W Crawford 1852–1867
Elzora Alice Crawford Goodwin 1862–1935 (linked)
Josiah A Crawford 1867–1868
Additionally, a death certificate exists for Mary L. Blankenship (age 87), daughter of Josiah and Hannah Watkins, who is not listed on FindAGrave or on Wikitree. FamilySearch has a Mary Larisa Crawford.
"Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N3V5-G8S : 8 March 2018), Josiah Crawford in entry for Mary L. Blankenship, 17 Apr 1927; Public Board of Health, Archives, Springfield; FHL microfilm 1,613,732.
1860 census shows Josiah (49) in a household with
Benjamin (18),
Eliza (10),
Minerva (8) and
"Nancy Loving, Domestic" (18).
James/Lucinda/Almira passed away prior to this census
"Eliza" is not Elzora (too early if 1862 birth is correct). Just about the right age for Almira, could be an enumeration error
missing mother Minerva Firebaugh from this census, they married 20 Sep 1860, likely after the census date (needs confirmed)
a death certificate also exists for son Frank Lincoln Crawford (age 63), son of Josehia A Crawford and Ellen Faubough (father's name is spelled incorrectly and mother's name is Minerva Ellen Firebaugh, mistranscribed here)
"Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N3NN-9T1 : 8 March 2018), Josehia A. Crawford in entry for Frank Lincoln Crawford, 31 Dec 1927; Public Board of Health, Archives, Springfield; FHL microfilm 1,614,266.
