Lawrence was born about 1897.[1] He was the son of Samuel Crawford and Josephine Stanfield. He passed away in 1965.

2 different birth records exist wither differing birth dates and locations. One shows 21 Jan 1897 in Otley and Lawrence appears to have used this birth location throughout his life. The other shows 26 Jan 1897 in Summit Township and Lawrence appears to have used this date.
