Biography

When Strother Singleton "Jake" Crawford was born on October 24, 1864, in Greenville, South Carolina,[1] his father, John, was 40 and his mother, Annie, was 22. He married Margaret 'Maggie' M. Davenport in 1888,[2] they had at least 8 children, although only 6 were living in 1910.[3] He then married Mrs. Hassie Belle (Horne) Worthey on March 11, 1918, in Greenwood, South Carolina.[4] He died on November 12, 1952,[5] in Greenwood, South Carolina,[6] at the age of 88, and was buried in Greenwood, South Carolina.[7]
