Biography
When Charles Herman Crawford was born on May 19, 1918, in Laurens, South Carolina, his father, John, was 34 and his mother, Maidia, was 23.[1] He married Laura Abercrombie on August 28, 1943, in Laurens, South Carolina.[2] He died on October 26, 1997,[3] in Ware Shoals, South Carolina, at the age of 79, and was buried in Greenwood, South Carolina.[4]
