Levi was born 20 May 1823 in Lincoln co, Tenn and died on 6 Dec 1914 in Pasadena, Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Samuel Crawford-(1788-1870) and Jeanette or Jannett Gibson-(1797-1854).
He married Helen Mary Maltby-(1847-1935), on 28 Nov 1878 in Logan, Illinois and together they had these children listed below;

He graduated from Theological Seminary in 1853;
