Biography

George Crawford was born in 1848, at St. Cuthbert Parish, Midlothian, Scotland[1] to David Crawford (1812-1884) and Margaret (Tennant) Crawford (1823-1897).[2] He lived with is family at Grange Loan Gatehouse, Canaan C, Midlothian.[3]

George emigrated to Upper Canada with his family, about 1854. The family lived at Brockville for a short time before finally settling in Kingston.[4] In 1875, George married Mary Ann Flett, in Perth, Lanark County, Ontario.[5] He and his wife, Mary Ann settled in Oso Township where they farmed and raised a large family.

Children

George died in 1933, most likely in Oso Township, Ontario and buried was at Parham, Ontario.[6]
