Biography

Alexander was born 17 June 1861, in Ontario, Canada[1], to David Crawford and Margaret (Tennant) Crawford, in 1861.[1][2] By 1881, he was employed as a moulder.[3] At age 24, he was married to Flora Currie,[4], daughter of Charles Currie and his wife, Sarah.[4] The ceremony took place in 1885, in Toronto, Ontario.[4] They divorced before 1910. It is believed they had at least one child. (See research notes)

By 1910, Alexander was living with his sister and her family in Detroit, Michigan.[5] He stayed with them for several years, but had his own home by 1920.[6]

Alexander died in Detroit, Michigan on July 27, 1935.[1]

Research Notes

It is believed he may have had a daughter named Agnes, however not confirmed. When he moved to the U.S. he lived for a time with his sister (Agnes Crawford Beach)

Possible Birth for daughter: Hazel, not Agnes
