Robert, son of Agnes Caldwell and Robert William/William Crawford, a Mason of Dalry was baptised 21 Nov 1793.

Robert Crawford had an elder sister Jennet Crawford born 29 August 1789.

He was employed as Sherriff Officer in the Parish of Dalry.

Robert married Agnes, daughter of Thomas Anderson and Agnes McLean.

They lived at Kirk Close in Dalry where they remained for their married lives.
