DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

I'm fairly new to genealogy. I think I've found that John Christopher Lafayette Creamer (1824-1903) was married to Nancy Selby (no dates known). Their son, John Walter Creamer (1853-1930) married Emily Ann "Emma" Offutt (1859-1908) and they lived in Potomac, MD. Their son, John Thomas Creamer (1885-1950) of Potomac, then Rockville, MD was my grandfather. He had 3 sisters: Nancy and Emma (probably unmarried) and Alice Newberry. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
