Biography
My Mother told me that the courthouse in Matter, Ga. burned to the ground along with birth records, that my Father hated his first name and used the occasion to change his first name and birth year so that he could join the Civilian Conservation Corps and ultimately the U. S. Army. Proof of the name change might be in the fact that he had a younger Brother named William Paul Creech.
