Biography
Lissy Creech was born about 1758 in Cumberland, North Carolina, daughter of Richard Creech (~1746–>1775) and Mary Caldwell (1753– ).
Her father's will names his eldest son Richard; sons William, Charles; daughter Lissy alias Roberds; wife Mary. Assigns friends David Smith and Thomas Killen and his wife Mary as administrators. Dated 1 May 1775.[1]
The ages of her parents seem suspect. If Mary was truly born in 1753, it's unlikely she had a child Lissy old enough to be married in 1775 at the time of the writing of the will.
