Married 1st in 1890 to Steve Wiley Sawyer (1870-1914). He was the father of all of her children: Daughter -Lillie Sawyer Trimble; Lois Sawyer Kirksey; Sarah Sawyer Griffin; Gertie Sawyer Inabinet; Sons - G. F. Sawyer; Henry Sawyer; John Sawyer

Mrs. Betty Derossett, 75, died at her home at Fair Play Sunday morning. She had been in ill health for several months. Mrs. Derossett was born in Dade county, but had lived most of her life in Fair Play. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Trimble of Fair Play, Mrs. Louis Kirksey of Visalia, Cal., Mrs. Sarah Griffin of Exeter, Cal., and Mrs. Girtie Inabinet of Lemoore, Cal.; three sons by a former marriage, G. F. Sawyers of Fair Play, Henry Sawyers of Stockton and John Sawyers of Exeter, Cal.,; one brother, Charlie Creech of Badger, Cal.; 34 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Shady Grove church at Fair Play at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, with the Rev. Hobert Hustain officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, under direction of Barker-Erwin-Blue of Fair Play.
