Biography

William Creed was born in about 1884 at Headington in Oxfordshire. He was the son of James Creed and his wife Sarah, born Sarah Busby. [1] [2] [3]

In 1891 William Creed was living in William Street in New Headington with his parents James and Sarah and their other children. His age was given as 7, implying a birth date in 1883 or 1884. His birthplace was given as Headington, Oxfordshire. He was at school. [2]

William Creed, aged 24, a labourer, of Headington, son of James Creed, labourer; and Emily Matilda Thomas, aged 21, of Headington, daughter of Harry Thomas, deceased; were married at Headington parish church on 25 December 1907. The witnesses were called Fanny Creed and James Creed. [3]

In 1911 William Creed was living in the High Street in New Headington with his wife Emily. His age was given as 27, implying a birth date in 1883 or 1884. His birthplace was given as Headington, Oxfordshire. He was employed as a builder's labourer. It was stated that William and Emily had been married for 3 complete years. [4]
