Mathew also had a son, named Barlette (Bennett?) (1754-1820) who married Sarah Phillips.

Barlette and Sarah Creed had a son also named Bennet, born 1801 in North Carolina. (Not to be confused with Bennett born 1805 and married Martha Dunnagan.) Bennett Creed born 1801 married Margaret Joyner, daughter of David W. Joyner and Catherine Coe. In 1850 Surry County, NC they were living between Margaret's parents and her cousin Timothy Joyner. Margaret and Bennet had seven children. Margaret died before 1860. Bennett is still in Surry Co, now named Yadkin Co, NC. in 1860. Bennett can be found in East Bend, Yadkin Co, NC in 1870 and 1880 under the name Benjamin Creed. Bennett and Margaret's children were, Sarah (1832), David (1835), Mary E. (1838), Nancy P. (1841), Margaret M. (1843), John T. (1846), and Bennett Solomon Creed (1849). https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:QMSL-S22 Surry County NC Creed marriages- https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/viewer/342660/?offset=&return=1#page=41&viewer=picture&o=&n=0&q=
