Obituary Atha Ursulla Creel Lambert, 84, of Old Iron Court, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Morgan County, AL, and had made her home in Hopewell since 1953. Mrs. Lambert was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church and a retired sales clerk with Peebles Department Store in Hopewell. She was the daughter of the late Jada and Katie Sue Elmore Creel and the widow of Herman Milton Lambert. Mrs. Lambert is survived by two sons, W.C. Vassar, Jr. and his wife Linda of Hartselle, AL, Charles L. Lambert and his wife Joan of Hopewell, one daughter, Mary Sue Hundley and her husband Charles of Hopewell, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two sisters, Lahoma Culver of Cullman, AL, and Odessa Oliver of Decatur, AL. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 22, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 23, 2004 at 2:00PM in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Rogers, pastor of Powers Memorial Baptist Church officiating.
