Birth & Upbringing: Born 1946.
Education: He was schooled at Guinea Fowl School, in Gwelo. ^[1]
Military Service: The BSA Police was very much a para-military service and was the nation's first line of defense. The Police Anti Terrorist Unit of the British South Africa Police was a unit which operated in a quasi Special Forces role, seeking out and engaging the enemy in counter insurgency operations as an integral part of the Security Forces. The Unit was a highly successful structure.
Occupation: Policeman - joined the BSA Police in ; Reg.No.21733X; served until January 1977
Demise: Killed in action - contact and engagement with enemy while serving as a Field Reservist with Field Reserve in Bindura (Operation Hurricane). William was operating with a PATU stick at the time of his demise ^{[2] [3]} .
Burial: William Cremer was buried at Warren Hill Cemetery on 31 January 1977 following a military funeral. ^[4].
