Francesco Crescimanni is found by Maria Costa, the ruotara, or wheel-turner, on 12 March 1848 in the wheelhouse.

Francesco is taken in by the wetnurse Maria Napoli, wife of Biagio Listi, on via Candelara in Corleone. He is recognized as the son of Giovanni Battista Crescimanni and Maria Carolina Napoli on 13 January 1882. This appears on the back of the birth record extract in his 1882 marriage allegati.

Francesco Crescimanni, celibe, son of Giovan Battista, and Vita Marino, nubile, daughter of Pietro and Francesca Ciulla from Partanna, Mazara, have met the publication requirements for marriage on 15 February 1882.

Maria Carolina Giovanna Crescimanno is born on 9 May 1884 and baptized Mariam Carolinam Joannam on 11 May. She is the daughter of Francisco Crescimanno and Vita Marino. Her godparents are Leoluca Crescimanno and Carolina, his sister.
