He located to a farm seven miles north of Kensel and remained here until April 1914. Moving to Hingham, Montana, where he homesteaded until July 1926, when he moved to Lewiston, Idaho. They resided there until a year ago when Mr and Mrs Cress and their son, Allen came to Kensel and remained here since.

Those left to mourn his passing are: his wife and one son of Kensel; two daughters, Mrs Thomas (Georgia) Spooner of Lewiston, ID and Mrs Harold (Laura) Evans of Rathdrum, ID; four brothers, George and William of Minneapolis, MN; Frank of Clear Lake, MN; and Edward of Prior Lake, WI; and one sister, Anne.
