Biography

Rachel Cresson was born in 1656 in Delft, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands to Pierre Cresson and his wife, Rachel Closs. She was married three times, first to David Demarest, 4 April 1675, and had seven sons and four daughters; secondly, to Jean Durier in 1696; and thirdly, to Roelof Vander Lionde, 25April,1702. She died in 1710 in Hackensack, New Jersey, at the age of 54, and was buried in New Milford, New Jersey.
