He married Fanny Elizabeth St John in 1871.[2] He was a gardener at historic Isel House in Stoke (the same location the profile manager got married at in 1994.)
He passed away in 1923 age 74 .[3][4], and is buried at the St Barnabas cemetery in Stoke, Nelson [5]
